November meeting: Paper Piecing

A reminder to all our modern quilting friends that our next meeting will be this coming Friday, November 16th at Bernina from 7-9 pm. Christa will be showing us the fine art of English Paper Piecing, and I am so excited to learn from her! Bring an assortment of small scraps and some needle and thread so you can participate in the workshop.

A few notes of business: As previously discussed, we will not have an official December meeting, but hope to have an informal sewing day like the one we had at the library in October in order to work on projects together and have some fun in the process.

Mug Rug exchange in January. Later this week, I will post some links to various mug rugs so you can get an idea of what you would like to make for the exchange.

The Modern Quilt Guild is hosting a Winter 2012 Fabric Challenge using Madrona Road fabric. Check out the link here for more info. If you are interested in participating, talk to Brenda on Friday because she will be ordering kits from the MQG.
